The H Class Si3N4 10 / Steel pairs stainless steel races with ten silicon nitride ceramic balls and a steel cage.
Compared with the nylon-cage H Class, this version has a more pronounced sound and a livelier overall character. It remains smooth in use, but with the distinct tactile feedback and audible presence many people associate with hybrid ceramic spinner bearings.

*Sound Sample from a Stainless Steel Y Retention Based Spinner on a wooden table. +20db boosted in volume. Audio samples are provided for comparison. Actual sound can vary depending on the spinner, buttons, bearing installation, spin speed, and recording/playback equipment.Installing Your R188 Bearing
Test-fit the bearing before installation. R188 bearing pockets and retention systems can vary between spinner designs, so never force a bearing into a pocket that feels unusually tight.
Make sure the bearing seat is clean and free of debris or old adhesive before installing a new bearing. If your spinner requires adhesive to retain the bearing, use only a small amount and keep adhesive away from the bearing internals.
When removing a bearing, apply pressure as evenly as possible. A proper R188 bearing removal tool can make bearing swaps easier and reduce the chance of damaging the bearing or spinner.
Cleaning
If performance changes over time, contamination may be the cause. Dust, oils, and other debris can affect the sound and feel of an R188 bearing.
Bearing Notes: Sound, feedback, and bearing play can vary slightly between individual bearings and may feel different depending on the spinner in which they are installed. Spinetic’s characteristic ratings are intended as general comparisons within our bearing lineup, not precise mechanical measurements.
Bearings are mechanical wear items and may require periodic cleaning or maintenance. Always inspect and test-fit a bearing before installation.
